- acts as eyes and ears for the non-Czech speaking colleagues through media monitoring and identifying relevant stakeholders for the Netherlands
- is an energetic, hands-on person that can quickly translate ideas into result-oriented action
- performs his/her duties at a considerable level of independence and initiative
- builds up and maintains a functional network in a short period of time
- works and communicates well with other colleagues within the Embassy
- quick and precise when drafting visitors’ programmes or planning events
- reports to the (deputy) Head of Mission
- provide policy advice and analysis to management through media monitoring, attending conference, meetings and research.
- identify relevant stakeholders and interlocutors for the Embassy and build the Embassy’s network.
- organize visits and events from initial concept to implementation, related administrative tasks and documentation (i.a. for social media).
- contribute to results of the Embassy’s policy agenda, including public, economic and cultural diplomacy where needed.
- brief the management on progress and issues that occur.

who we are looking for
- academic or higher professional/vocational level
- an intrinsic interest in national and international politics, security policy and developments in Czech society
- energetic and hands-on with the ability to quickly translate ideas into result-oriented action
- general understanding of the Czech public administration and its working methods
- general knowledge and understanding of national and international politics and security related policy areas
- skilled in social media and MS Office programs such as Word en Excel, Outlook
- communicating skills vis-à-vis third parties and also with external suppliers
- relevant experience in a somewhat similar position i.e. international and/or governmental organization is a plus;
- very good command of the Czech language (verbally and written level C2)
- good command (verbally and written) of the English language, level B2-C1 (knowledge of the Dutch language is a strong asset)
- having affinity with the Netherlands and the EU
- be familiar with social media and software such as MS Office
- motivated professional and a good communicator
- someone who understands the political context in which they work
- someone who is a goal-getter, well-organised, a team player, flexible, stress resistant and independent
- someone who feels responsible for their work and knows when and how to state what is necessary to complete the job successfully
- join to embassy from February 1 to July 31, 2023.
