We are seeking a highly experienced Sustaining Engineer to serve as the L2/L3 technical expert for our deployed Android applications and their integrated Cloud (SaaS) backend solutions. This is a critical, client-facing role focused on ensuring system reliability, driving complex technical troubleshooting, and maintaining high data quality across production systems.
Your role
Your main mission is to find the root cause of complex issues and ensure they are fixed promptly by the development teams.
... - Advanced Troubleshooting (L2/L3): Lead the analysis and in-depth troubleshooting of escalated customer incidents and complex performance issues. Use deep technical knowledge to pinpoint failures across the Android-to-Cloud architecture.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct comprehensive investigations to identify the root cause of product failures. Share detailed failure data and analysis with Development and QA teams to drive permanent resolution and prevent recurrence.
- Customer & Developer Liaison: Act as the critical link between operational/customer-facing teams and the core developers, ensuring a clear technical understanding of the issue and coordinating the delivery of solutions.
- Minor Enhancements: Assist with small-scale updates and enhancements to improve user experience, based on operational feedback.
- Data Quality Governance: Proactively monitor and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data across our systems (e.g., BigQuery, SQL databases).
- Data Analysis: Investigate data quality issues, identify their root causes (often within ETL or data pipelines), and collaborate with Data Engineers to implement data cleaning and validation processes.

You must have a strong background that blends advanced troubleshooting, data engineering, and operational support.
- 5+ years in a Client-facing Technical Production Support (L2/L3) role.
- Proficiency in Python (for scripting/data analysis), SQL (Postgres/MySQL), and Java (or Kotlin for Android).
- Cloud Data & ETL: Hands-on experience with Big Data platforms like Google BigQuery, Apache Beam/Dataflow, Spark, and large-scale ETL processes.
- System Diagnostics: Expertise in API testing (Postman, OAuth/SSO) and using Android debugging tools to troubleshoot app-to-cloud communication and system performance.
- Fluent written and verbal English is essential for effective communication with senior customers, developers, and global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with major Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with BI/Reporting tools (Looker, Tableau).
